VeganMoFo Day 21: 10-for-30 on How We Do Vegan Brunch!

Our VeganMoFo Top 10 10-for-30 is entering its fourth week. We chose to launch today’s topic on a Sunday because that’s the day that brunch is most likely to be held. Just remember, brunch can be served on any day. There are no rules! If you’re unable to brunch at home, ask your boss if you can host a vegan brunch at your workplace.

Today’s 10-for-30 Top 10 is all about things brunchy and fun. So check out our list and brunch, brunch, bruch! 

The Top 10 Reasons To Do Vegan Brunch!

1. You Can Sleep Late. Keep hitting the snooze button, because brunch can be enjoyed before noon.

2. You Can Go To A Favorite Place and Let Them Do the Cooking. When in Philly, make sure to check out Mi Lah’s amazing brunch offerings!

 3. Or, You Can Do the Cooking. Books like Isa Moskowitz’s Vegan Brunch are chock full of tasty, easy recipes that you can make at home. Brunch in bed can be a  fun way to star the day.

4. It’s Romantic. Although any meal can be romantic, brunch has a certain je ne sais quoi quality.

5. It’s a Good Excuse To Have an Early Cocktail. Booze makes everything taste better.

6. You Can Have Savory and Sweet On Same Plate. Bethlehem’s Shankara (pictured below) offers brunchy goodness with an ever-changing menu. 

 7. It’s a Great Time With Friends. Iggy and Tom had brunch planned for months. 

8.There’s Lots of Options. Felling like having tofu scramble? How about vegan chili with a side of jalapeno cornbread? Of course you can always have breakfast pizza. Better still get one of each, after all it’s brunch!

9. You Can Have Dessert at 10:30! Here’s a few items we had at Grindcore House in Philly. If you make the trek there, make sure to check out the “People’s Library” in the backroom.

10. Brunch or Any Meal  Supports Local Vegan Businesses.  Every penny you spend at local vegan businesses helps our community, which in turn helps animals, the environment and our planet. Places like Harlem’s Seasoned Vegan  are making a huge difference.

We hope that our humble10-for-30 Top 10 list for today will inspire you to enjoy brunch more often. Wehther at home, at friends or at a restaurant, brunch is far away the most fun way to enjoy a meal. Although it may not be practical to brunch every day, try to squeeze it in a least one a week.
