Day 2 at Vegfest UK London didn’t disappoint. As matter of fact, we actually enjoyed it more, as we took a leisurely approach compared to yesterday’s vegan madness. We checked out exhibits that we missed on Day 1 and we were able to talk to many interesting and dedicated vegans.
Like yesterday’s VeganMoFo 10-for-30 list, it reflects the best of Vegfest UK London 2014. Read and enjoy, as you might want to go to next years. If you do, we’ll meet you there!
The Top 10 Things About Vegfest UK 2014: Part Two!
1. Prefest Meal at Down to Earth. Like an NFL team before a grudge-match, vegans need energy food before a tiring day at a Vegfest.Carm, Victoria Moran and I regaled each other with great stories!
2. We Swagged a Gold Pass. We avoided the long lines, thanks to a friend with pull!
3. Ms. Cupcake Liked Our Present. This kind lady vowed to share this trans-Atlantic gift with her staff.
4. We Drank. It’s a shame that Equinox Kombucha isn’t available in the states.
5. We Ate. Carm had a long, upright vegan sushi roll from Happy Maki and I had a falafel from Pomegranate Lebanese Kitchen.
5. We Shopped. More stuff! We’re the heck are we going to put it all!
6. There Was a Pirate Emcee. In between “arrrrrghs”, he was informative and polite!
7. There Was a Bike-powered Blender. A colorful one at that!
8. We Met Brendan Brazier. One of the best athletes on the planet, Brendan was a font of nutritional information and very inspiring in a gentle way.
9. Carlo Got a Massage. He needed it…bad!
10. Postfest Meal at The Gate. Like a post-game NFL grudge-match, having a good meal after a long day just makes things better! The Gate offers excellent vegan options in a lovely setting.
Another fabu day and we’ll have another tomorrow in Brighton.
This was the best Veg Fest we had ever attended. We plan to come back next year and possibly to the highly regarded Vegfest UK Bristol. As much as we love the New York Vegetarian Food Festival, Vegfest UK currently has the edge. New York has to step up its game!
