When we kicked off #VeganFoodChat on Wednesday, March 18, 2014, it was all about connecting with more vegans in the U.S.. Neither of us could imagine how fast our little community has grown and gone global over the past 12 months. Over 50 chats with friends, cookbook authors, motivational speakers, vegan celebrities, activists and more, we are so honored to have you be a part of this journey.
#VeganFoodChat really has meant a lot to us, just because you’re a part of it. We look forward to Wednesday evenings because you make them so much fun. We keep doing this weekly, because you’re there with us. And of course, who can resist a few minutes of SPOTLIGHT to throw puns around?
We thank you all and hope one day we do so individually in person. Hey, that may happen soon enough, thanks to technology. We have some great things in the works for #VeganFoodChat. A podcast is one of them. There may be some video. There could be some other ideas coming down the pike that we’ll run by you first…of course!
Again, we are so grateful for this community and for you! You’ve made this first year what it has been for our weekly chats! Here’s to another 52 weeks.
Happy Birthday #VeganFoodChat!
Tonight at 8pm ET, we’re turning #VeganFoodChat into a 2-hour birthday celebration. First, we’ll have a chat with Michael A. Webermann, Executive Director of Farm Animal Rights Movement. We’ll be gearing up for National Meatout Day (#Meatout2015), happening this Friday, March 20th! In the middle, we’ll have a couple of giveaways. Then, we’ll get into the party…open forum style…to share all things vegan that we love.
We hope you join us on Twitter or in our favorite chatroom on Nurph
