VeganMoFo Day 12: 10-for-30 on Blossom, a Vegan NYC Fave!

It’s September 12th, the twelfth day of VeganMoFo 2014! Today, I bring thee a 10-for-30 Top 10 List of delicious wonder known as Blossom! Before I do, here are some fun facts about this special day:

1609 – Henry Hudson begins his exploration of the river that bares his name
1846 – Elizabeth Barrett became a Browning by eloping with some dude named Robert
1953 – John F. Kennedy & Jacqueline Lee Bouvier got hitched
1967 – Louis C.K. arrived on this planet and hasn’t changed one bit

Happy Defenders Day in Maryland!

What does this date have to do with Blossom? Well, nothing at all! Now, onto what you came here for…

If you don’t know about Blossom, It’s really an Empire of Vegan Awesomness based in NYC, which includes:

  • Blossom Restaurant in Chelsea (9th Av btw. W. 21st & 22nd Sts) - The original in fine dining!
  • Blossom on Carmine in the West Village (41 Carmine St.) - Small plates/wine bar
  • Blossom on Columbus on the Upper West Side (507 Columbus Av.) - Casual dining in style!
  • V-Note on the Upper East Side (1st Av.) - Wine bar, amazing weekend brunch and cozy!
  • Blossom du Jour (Multiple Locations) - Shrew fast food, all vegan!
  • Blossom Bakery (Chelsea) - Vegan sweets and yumminess

We cannot get enough of Ronen Seri and Pamela Blackwell’s amazing dining experiences, whether it’s to grab a quick sandwich or to have a romantic meal. We can simply say we have never had a bad meal at any of these places, including the re-opening of Blossom on Columbus (Cafe Blossom) less than a week ago. By the way, we were just at the renewed location this week to celebrate Carlo’s birthday!

To honor the experience, FINALLY, here’s our Top 10 list

Top 10 Reasons Why The Food Duo LURVES Blossom

1. LOCAL (for us) and SO MANY (see above)

2. Within 24 hours, you can easily bounce around for all 3 meals, plus snack, dessert AND Happy Hour!


Well, they’re not open 24 hours, but you can get all of your meals set…even just at one spot!     

3. Did we mention the food is AMAZING!

4. You can choose to dress UP or dress DOWN depending on where you’re dining!

5. They’re are creative!
