Vegan Cuts July Snack Box & Why You Should Subscribe! [Product Review]

We are total fans of Vegan Cuts, going back to our first snack box back in 2013! Haven’t heard of them? Well, well, well, friends! Let us make a formal introduction!

Vegan and those interested, please meet a great online marketplaces where you don’t have to ask “Is it vegan?” or “Are you sure it’s vegan?” Vegan Cuts offers a shopping experience of ease with decreased label reading and increased confidence that the products, from food to fashion, you’re buying are 100% vegan and cruelty-free! In addition, they have a great subscription service to sample vegan products, hitting the market!

The Vegan Cuts Subscription Box is the perfect way to go, whether you’re newly vegan or just want to try some new foods. Each month, the team curates a package of great foodie finds from bite-sized snacks to drinks to a nice prepared foods item. There’s real variety, and it’s always exciting to see what they put together. Of course, after trying many of the items, we’re often on a mission to find them in local stores, because they can be THAT good.

For July, we received a great box with contained some faves and a lot of new items: 11 in total.  After Mozzer examined the contents and gave his stamp of approval, we let the taste testing begin!

Here are a couple of the highlights for us:

1. World Peas in Ranch: Green pea snacks are a staple in our home. Carlo loves World Peas garlic-flavored snacks. To have them in Ranch is a huge win!

2. Lundberg Multigrain Chips in Redwood Smoky BBQ: Lundberg makes great rice products. These chips are a winner. What we loved most is that this BBQ flavor didn’t have honey in it and that they tasted really good. Great for a nice mid-day snack or for a get-together.

3. DIP-IN: A great portable hummus in snack-size. Great to throw into a lunchbox or bag to have while on-the-go.

4. Tasty Bite Pad Thai: We were thinking about getting a few packs of these. They are great to have at the office, if you’re pressed for time to grab lunch. Microwave it in the package for just 60 seconds, and you have lunch. Not bad if you dress it up with some cashews and sriracha too!

5. Scheckter’s Organic Energy Drink in Pomegranate + Lemon: This was a really good energy drink without the jitteriness. It was a nice and welcome alternative to the sugary stuff. It gives a nice boost in the day that also refreshes.

Honorable Mentions: Carlo liked the Pasta Chips, when Carm wasn’t a fan. Carm loved the PB2 crackers and “forgot” to share with Carlo. The spicy falafel chips by Mamous were good, but definitely needed to pick up on the spice.

The Vegan Cuts Snack Box is monthly subscription at $19.95 per month. Shipping is included in the price. For the amount of products you receive, this is a real bargain! The other plus about the subscription box? If you like what you see and taste, you can order many of the full-size versions right on Vegan Cuts’ website!

Our First Snack Box from Vegan Cuts!

The first (snack box) of many!

We LOVE Vegan Cuts! If you don’t know about Vegan Cuts, then let us bring you out of the shadows. Of course, they are a vegan business (YAY)! They are a bit of a boutique in offering some pretty nice deals on products, ranging from food to apparel. Macaroon’s ordered from them a few times, getting shoes, clothes and of course vegan treats!

Despite her purchases with Vegan Cuts one thing had eluded us. That had been the monthly Vegan Snack Subscription Box! The Snack Box is a subscription, currently at $19.95 per month, where you get…well, SNACKS. Okay, samples of plant-based products. It’s a great way for vegan/veggie foodies to see what new eats are on the marketplace. For what you get, the price is pretty spot on!

After many months of humming and hawing on whether to get the subscription, Mac put her foot down and said “WE HAVE TO GET THIS!” And we did, especially after checking out the some of the goodies at the NYC Vegetarian Food Festival this year.

Our first box arrived this week! We, along with Mozzie, tore into it with kid-like delight! Goodies included:

  • Flamous Falafel Chips
  • Chicago Soy Dairy Dandies
  • Cocomo Joe’s Cocomocorn
  • Earth Balance Aged White Cheddar Puffs
  • Sjaak’s Organic Chocolate
We’re still working our way through the box, tasting and testing a little here and there. All the while, we’re wondering what’s planned for MAY!
